Eyeglass frames come in mainly three basic styles, including full frames, semi-frames and rimless ones. In fact, eyeglass frames produced by various manufacturers differ little in other aspects such as temples and nose pads. The most significant difference always lies in frame style. In the old days, all types of eyeglass frames had full frames. This simply means that the lens frame has two round circles which wrap around the respective eyeglass lenses. Of course, this style of eyeglass frames is still around currently. But to some extent, they are losing popularity gradually. Most eyeglass wearers consider full frames as a traditional style. The second style is semi-rimless. A pair of semi-rimless eyeglasses has a lens frame which has only two half circles. The two lenses are only half covered by the eyeglass frame. In a natural design, the half part of the frame touches the upper part of the lenses, rather than the bottom part. Compared with full frames, semi frames use fewer materials and look more concise. A pair of proper eyeglasses usually functions as a fashionable accessory for women. Nowadays, there are many brands that provide semi-rimless small women’s eyeglass frames. (more eyeglasses details…)
