Yet, not all people know the fact that bifocals glasses are much expensive than ordinary glasses. However, due to their peculiarity and efficiency in solving problems, bifocal glasses are still very popular among people with presbyopia and other problems. Here are some reasons for their costliness.

From the perspective of manufacturing process, bifocal glasses should be much expensive than ordinary glasses. Those materials are much advanced and in need of much higher technology and techniques.

Here is an example on how bifocal glasses cost. Comparatively speaking, if a pair of common glasses is averaged $200 in real optical stores, a pair of bifocal glasses will cost $300 on average there. Of course, there are some stores for cheap bifocal glasses, but bifocal glasses are always much expensive than ordinary ones.
